A Bit About Me
I strive to embrace my life as unfolds, juggling the responsibilities of being the eldest daughter, a wife of nearly 15 years, and a mother in the later years of life. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is necessary as I am guided by the philosophy, "work hard, play harder."
Apart from my work as a therapist, I am an avid reader, casual gamer, and Disney enthusiast. I enjoy and am passionate about travel, music, movies, the theater, board games, and cooking.
Moreover, staying active, spending time with my family, and connecting and nurturing my relationships with friends hold significant value in my life.
On a personal level, I am deeply committed to continuous learning and self-improvement. Whether it involves delving into books, participating in workshops, or venturing into new hobbies, I am always eager to broaden my horizons and evolve. This dedication to my personal development enriches my life and equips me to better support and motivate the clients I work with on their journeys.
My Story
My career transition led me to psychology and my current role as a therapist. Initially set on a future in law from a young age, I remained dedicated to that path until I sat for the LSAT. During the test, I realized that being a lawyer was not my calling. Despite feeling relieved, I was also conflicted and puzzled. So, what next? After reflecting, consulting former professors, and many discussions with my wife, I chose to pursue a career in psychology.
I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University American School of Professional Psychology in 2013. With over a decade of experience in psychology, I accumulated over 3,000 hours for my licensing exam. Initially, my focus involved closely assisting children, adolescents, and families from various backgrounds. I also supported adult clients with co-occurring disorders. Presently, I work with individual adults and couples, providing a safe and confidential environment to explore emotions, behaviors, mental health conditions, and personal and relational challenges.
My journey to the present has been transformative, marked by personal growth through self-reflection and therapy. I have learned skills to navigate and work through my own traumas, mental health challenges, insecurities, grief and loss, complex relationships, and life transitions. While life itself will always be a work in progress, I continue to gain valuable wisdom and skill sets along the way. With a blend of personal and professional experiences and continued education, I offer a broad, relatable and seasoned approach to my therapeutic work.
I am passionate about helping individuals and couples cultivate awareness, gain insight, acquire clarity, and attain personal empowerment that leads to living intentional lives as their most authentic selves.
