The Seven Principles Workshop for Couples is an educational program that draws from Dr. John Gottman's renowned research featured in his bestselling book of the same title. This workshop aims to equip couples with effective tools and strategies to:

  • Improve friendship, fondness, and admiration

  • Enhance romance and intimacy

  • Manage conflict constructively

  • Gain skills to address perpetual and solvable problems

  • Create shared meaning

  • Maintain gains throughout a lifetime

This workshop is suitable for adult couples of all ages and stages of their relationship including pre-engaged, pre-marital, newlyweds, long-term spouses, and partners and couples experiencing life transitions.

It is also beneficial for couples who are seeking to reinforce their strong bond,  those who are navigating through challenging times, and couples who find committing to therapy sessions challenging or intimidating.

Please note this workshop is NOT for couples experiencing severe relationship distress, emotional abuse, domestic violence, active addictions, and/or serious mental health problems in one or both partners.

Benefits of Participating in this Workshop:

  • Encourages motivation and accountability.

  • Initial participation may feel less daunting than directly seeking couples therapy.

  • Equips couples with valuable skills that can enhance their relationship for a lifetime.

  • Can serve as a stepping stone toward couples therapy for those seeking more personalized support beyond the workshop.

  • Facilitates a gentle introduction to relationship improvement and seeking help without the lingering stigma associated with therapy.

  • Provides a supportive environment where couples can work on their relationships alongside others undertaking the same journey.
