A Little About Me

Welcome-I'm Diseph

I'm glad you're here.  Therapy is about connection, and getting to know each other is the first step. Here’s a little about me, my story and what you can expect when we work together.

My Journey

I strive to embrace  life as unfolds—juggling the responsibilities of being the eldest daughter,  a wife of more than 15 years and a mother navigating uncharted territory in midlife.  Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential to my well-being, and I live by the philosophy:  work hard, play harder.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of my work as a therapist, I am an avid reader, casual gamer, Disney enthusiast and a frequent traveler. I have a passion for adventure, music, movies, theater, good food, and wine. Staying active, spending time with my family, and nurturing close friendships are all central to my well-being.

Doing My Own Work

I am deeply committed to lifelong learning and personal growth. Whether diving into a new book, attending workshops, or exploring new hobbies, I remain curious and open.  This dedication to evolving as a person enriches my life—and strengthens my ability to support and empower the clients I work with.

My Story

I am a proud advocate for those often overlooked and underserved in mental health care. My path to becoming a therapist has been deeply shaped by my own experiences and the people I care about—especially midlife women, couples, and adults navigating the unique challenges of later life.

I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University American School of Professional Psychology in 2013. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with diverse clients across cultural backgrounds and life circumstances, many facing complex mental health challenges that have deepened my understanding and empathy.

Through this work, I’ve witnessed how society often minimizes the struggles and strengths of these groups. Midlife and later life bring profound transitions, and couples often face difficulties many therapists shy away from, yet these relationships hold tremendous potential for growth and healing.

I bring my whole self to therapy—including my lived experiences and cultural background—which fuels my commitment to creating a safe, compassionate, and culturally attuned space. Therapy is a collaborative journey grounded in respect, honesty, and connection.

Ongoing professional growth and self-reflection ensure that my approach remains evidence-based, human-centered, and tailored to each client’s unique story.

My mission is to support women navigating midlife, couples facing relationship challenges, and adults in later years in cultivating awareness, gaining insight, and finding clarity. Together, we empower you to live a more intentional, authentic, and fulfilling life. I’m honored to walk alongside you as you rediscover your strength and voice.
